The law of supply and demand is categorical; if supply is low and the demand high, the price goes up! And ATI has applied very well the latter in order to strengthen its financial holdings. And so the Radeon HD 5850 will soon be at least $20 more expensive.It must be said that nVidia is very late to put on sale its new line: the GT300 series. Highly anticipated - but very complex to produce - the worry now is that the expenses involved in producing TSMC's 40nm process will keep prices high for some time to come...
