Xbit has put online a complete comparison of the AMD Istanbul (2435 and 2431) hex-core against the Intel i7 920 and its cousin the AMD Phenom X4 II 965. It is a very good presentation; the panel test is reviewed, as is Folding@Home performance (page 10)! Unfortunately there are no specifics on how they used it, what client and core types were used, etc. but judging from the PPD they received, we're guessing they were running the SMP Linux client, and carrying out calculations with the A2 core.Further reading: Here
