As a result of an international exchange program between Stanford University and the Pasteur Institute in France, Vijay Pande and Greg Bowman will be in Paris this week to deliver lectures at a conference hosted by the Pasteur Institute. The lectures will be given in the morning of September 8th, 2010. Dr. Pande opens the show at 10am with a presentation about the project's work on very long molecular dynamics simulations (more than a millisecond of real time). Dr. Bowman will then present a lecture at 11am on the results of the project's study into Markov states: folded protein states are kinetic hubs.
Other lectures are also organised along the similar themes of proteins and chromosomes. The linked source contains the details of the other lectures for those who may be interested.
