The Phenom II X6 1075T Black Edition has seen market listing, and can be seen priced from €230-€250; €250 in Germany, €239 in Austria, and £185 in the United Kingdom, in certain outlets. However these are just listings for the time being; currently, no retailers have any of the CPUs in stock.

The 45nm Thuban-based CPU's specifications are as follows:

  • Cores: 6
  • Clock speed: 3.0GHz
  • L2 cache: 512KB
  • L3 cache: 6MB
  • TDP: 125W
  • Socket compatibility: AM3 and AM2+

The AM2+ backwards compatibility ensures support for DDR2-1066 RAM. In addition, the CPU sports an unlimited BClk multiplier.

This CPU isn't exactly revolutionary, but for users of heavily threaded applications which will make good use of the six cores, it is a relatively affordable and economical choice. However, for more mainstream users, the 1050T continues to offer the best price-to-performance ratio.
