Ubuntu 10.04 would seem to be suffering from a bug which has also affected the latest versions of the Fedora Linux distribution, which prevents the F@H client from properly running. It's not a bug in the traditional sense of the term, though, since the error lies in version 2.11.1 of libc6, which would appear to be too "modern" for the version linked against for the Linux folding clients. The access method for the libc6 symbols has been changed, and the Folding@Home client is thus unable to properly make use of them. Since the client is not dynamically linked, errors are encountered, and the following message is displayed: "fah6: relocation error: /lib/libnss_files.so.2: symbol __rawmemchr, version GLIBC_2.2.5 not defined in libc.so.6 with link time reference".

Thanks to Tear for additional information and corrections.
