jimerickson: Happily folding smp now. and currently earning 2000ppd more than with bigadv. go figure.

jimerickson: I detest p2684, after this one is finished i am moving to smp.

Amaruk: FahCore 11 (ATI) support is scheduled to end September 1st. http://en.fah-addict.net/news/news.php?id=352

hootis: >toTow I think i saw it somewhere either on the folding forum or here, but i cant remember. just wondering if any1 knew.

toTOW: Divery> yes, a little ... on an i7 920 @3.5 GHz (no GPU), I get something like 15k PPD with regular SMP and 22k on BigAdv ...

toTOW: Hootis> did we mention it in one of our news ? anyway I don't remember :(

divery4eyes: Am thinking of adding a couple of smp boxen. is big adv still preferable over regular smp.

hootis: Dose anyone know when the ATi Gpu2 clients are going to be phased out?

MarkAGR: Sniff sniff :(

KaySL: That might explain the weirdly low point yield I'm now getting...

jimerickson: Bigadv bonus reduced from 50% to 20%

ATI logo California-based graphics card manufacturer Powercolor has put on display their new factory overclocked Radeon HD 5770 PCS+.

The core operates at a clock frequency of 875MHz, is equipped with 1GB GDDR5 memory, which is in turn overclocked to 4900MHz. For comparison, the reference card - the HD 5770 - operates at 850MHz for the core and 4800MHz for memory, and weighs in with 800 shader processors.

The card is equipped with a dual slot cooler and 92mm fan, and is DirectX 11, CrossFire, and HDCP capable.

The card features a non-reference PCB, and has a DisplayPort, HDMI and two DVI outputs, and are laid out in a slightly non-standard way in order to provide the card with better cooling exhaust. If you opt to buy the card and happen to be a little bored, then the DiRT 2 game bundled with it may help to alleviate your woes.

The market release date is planned for December 18th.
