During the night, SMP2 was released to -advmethods.

To fold the new units utilising the a3 core, you must be using the recently released client version 6.29. To get the bonuses used in the new points system, you must also have a valid passkey entered into the configuration of your SMP clients.

It is important to note that not all monitoring programs can currently calculate the bonus. HFM.NET and FahSpy currently can if the relevant option is enabled, but FahMon cannot. Please update to the latest version of your monitoring program to add this functionality.

The first SMP2 projects are (as usual) reruns of old projects, designed to test the validity of the results produced by the new scientific code. These first projects are:

  • 6012: 77,445 atoms, preferred deadline: 3 days, final deadline: 6 days, 470 points with a bonus multiplier of 2, studying the human antibody AFP3 (HAFP3). It seems that it has not yet been studied by SMP1, but we have no more information about this antibody.
  • 6013: 146,808 atoms, preferred deadline: 3 days, final deadline: 3 days, 380 points with a bonus multiplier of 3.36, restudying the series "IBX in Water" that formed SMP projects 2662 to 2677.
  • 6014: 77,484 atoms, preferred deadline: 3 days, final deadline: 6 days, 484 points with a bonus multiplier of 2.1, restudying the series 'Protein in POPC' that formed SMP projects 2651 and 2653.
  • 6015: 77,457 atoms, preferred deadline: 3 days, final deadline: 6 days, 484 points with a bonus multiplier of 2.1, restudying the series 'Protein in POPC' that formed SMP projects 2651 and 2653.

All of these projects are distributed from a new server situated in Stockholm, Sweden, at the PDC Center of the Royal Institute of Technology. The IP of the server is 130.237.232.140. Peter Kasson is in charge of the server and these four projects.
