How does a serial technophobe like me know what version of the Core (whatever that might be) I am running?
I have no intention of trying to download it and shall await the time, if it ever comes, when F@H will do that for me, but I've had a look in my F@H folder and can see nothing that has a version number of 2.17 - or anything for that matter.
Just out of interest, mind!

In the FAHlog.txt file, look for two lines that look like this :
Quotation:
Quotation:
[16:17:15] Folding@Home Gromacs SMP Core
[16:17:15] Version 2.17 (Mar 12, 2010)
[16:17:15] Version 2.17 (Mar 12, 2010)
toTOW:
Thanks, I have:
[23:16:34] Folding@Home Gromacs SMP Core
[23:16:34] Version 1.74 (September 24, 2007)
I seem only to be getting a sequence of units requiring FahCore_a1.exe recently so I guess any upgrade will happen as and when I get allocated something a tad more meaty.

Yes, version 1.74 is the right one for A1 core ... everything is fine.
